  We went to this little hidden gem after a recommendation from the owner of where we were staying and what a treat we were in for. The Curious Pig is a really quirky yet homely pub that served excellent quality food with a good diverse range (stone baked smoked salmon pizza for example). The garden is a really good size with plenty of sections for families of different sizes. Highly recommend a visit, even if you're not passing!

  I have given this pub a few opportunities to respond to me via email before posting a review, but unfortunately they have decided to ignore me. We were treated by family to a Sunday lunch here and I thought it rude to complain at the time, but telephoned and sent an email immediately after our visit with no response. In fact three emails in all. The staff had been very attentive, it was the food. It looked fantastic when it arrived but it was stone cold. I hoped the gravy would come out piping hot and would warm our cold food , but alas it was also cold. The cauliflower cheese was only slightly warm, so not much better. I work in the catering trade and know that our food had been sitting for a long time before being delivered. The reason for this is that they are so busy they are overwhelmed by the volume they are trying to turn around, with a detrimental impact on diners experience of receiving a decent hot meal. Even the coffee was cold. A lovely venue, good atmosphere and clean, we would of given in another chance if the owners had given us the common courtesy of replying with an explanation, as I know we all have 'bad' days but their ignorance towards me makes me spend my money elsewhere and advise friends/family not to visit.

  What a lovely place to visit. I will be going back multiple times. Had the sharing sweet and I am glad that we came in just for a sweet as we could not have eaten a main meal and the sweet. It was brilliant and I can see that I will have to bring others here just for the sweet.

  Went there for lunch and was lucky enough to sit in the large garden. A good surprise is that the garden has service - order food and drinks at your garden table! Excellent idea! The menu is extensive and the food well-priced and tasty. Will definitely return.
